2 is more than 1

We have 2 ears and 1 mouth.
Therefore, we should LISTEN more and SPEAK less.

Did you know that being a GOOD listener is one of the ebst qualities one can have?

Today, a person whose opinion I respect quite a bit told me: "Denise, you might not be able to vote, but you can motivate others to vote, and right there, you get 5 votes instead of just one!"

Given the fact that election time is literaly right here, right now, I can't do much more and feel my motivation powers in this sense might not be too efficient. Nevertheless, I will send out an e-mail to my contact list (on gmail) and "remind them" to do their dutie.

I believe that more than a right, voting is a dutie. If you don't care for voting, you basically are rejecting your right to complain about what is going on in the country. That's why I say: Vote or keep things to yourself...remember, we have 2 ears anyway, more than 1 mouth....we should be talking less anyways!

I will not support this idea though, when it comes to my baby. Her babbling is delicious, and I cannot wait for her first conscious word to come out. We hear Bop, Dada (even though her Dad is Papi and not Daddy), Mm-mm-mm (that's me), Jeje (her nanny Jelena), aaaaahhhh!!!!, tuh-tuh-tuh and uht-uht-uht I don't know if she's trying to sepak Portuguese, English or Spanish.

It is a known fact that bilingual or trilingual babies/children could take longer to develop their speech, because of overload of definitions for the same thing and different sounds. Linguists say, though, that brain synapsis happens so early, that exposing the little ones to all sorts of different sounds (languages) will help establish correct pronounciation at a later stage. Let's see how it goes with Gabi! I'm quite curious....

I decided to decorate the front of the house a bit for tomorrow. Otherwise, kids in the neighbourhood will not be so interested in our candy. Maybe next year we'll have a Halloween costume party again. It's been 2 years since our last one. I was a construction worker girl. I never id the French maid / sexy waitress / naughty nurse thing, but if I could choose a cool costumer for next year it would be airplane pilot(ess)!!! I love PLANES! There is something about planes that screams "powerful" and "so cool", and I was always attracted to them!
