Our 8 and a half months old Baby Gabi misses all the fun she had in Rio. For sure. I have proof!
She always had so many people around her over there, holding her, hugging her, playing with her, making silly-funny faces, feeding her...oh, my goodness! Now, back home, it's really more just Gabi and Mom, Mom and Gabi...,oh, yes, Papi is back from work...Papi and Gabi, Mom, Gabi and Papi - Papi, Gabi and Mom.....ok, people outside on the streets...but in the house, all the time, it's just us...(ok for us, but not for her, it seems!!)
Hey, where are all the other people???
I am so sure she's wondering where the heck they've all disappeared to. No more 2 or 3 people giving her the banana oatmal - yoghurt. No more Opa (Grandpa) making her laugh until she pees.....I really think she misses them all, as they're not here in Orlando.
My friend in Atlanta said this happened to her son as well. When they returned from Brazil, her son was demanding, wanting more attention than usual...
Gabi has these "temper tantrums" now. She is sitting down on her highchair. Then, she gets tired of it. Before, she would just wine a little. NOW..ohhh....she throws her arms up in the air, and moves her body back and forth, "crying" loudly, almost doing a backflip. If in our arms, she throws herself back (definitely like a backflip, or I want to believe she's already practicing for a "cambre", a Ballet movement...).
Ballet is more gracious...

I saw that happen with Ethan too, after my parents and sisters left he was much more needy. But i think we as mommies also got used to the extra hands helping us entertain the baby in different ways while we got to relax even for a short while right?
