Starbucks at Universal

Today I had a business meeting, and after our formal meeting, the President and V.P. took me "for a little coffee" (Starbucks) the Brazilian Way (the President is from Sao Paulo, Brazil!). In Brazil we often have coffee to accompany meetings. The cool part was that, as we're walking to go to the Cafe, all of a sudden we are inside Universal Studios.
I didn't know Universal had a Starbucks inside. I'm a big fan of Starbucks because they are so successful in branding themselves and while their coffee is the product they sell, they are actually selling an experience, very well reaching out to our emotions. The prices are bitter, but there is not one time when I go to one and don't come out relaxed.

I call this Emotional Marketing!

The first time I sat inside a Starbucks, was in 1999, here in Orlando, at the Pointe Orlando Mall.
It seems Starbucks finally made it to Brazil, Sao Paulo being the first stop (of course, Sao Paulo is the NYC of Brazil, while Rio, is the L.A.). I am very curious to see how the brand consistency is kept over there. I haven't been to Sao Paulo in YEARS, but having one of my best friends living there now, I wouldn't mind stopping by at all. I miss her!

So, it was a beautiful afternoon today, and the meeting went very well. Little by little, everything is moving along. We just have to believe it's possible. And of course, act on it..

Hey! Have you joined Twitter.com already???
