That's just how it is!

Today I woke up and decided to write in my Blog.
Then, I did tons of things. You see, I wake up and care for my pets. First things first, right? While Gabriella is still asleep (well, lately she's been waking up a bit after me, and then plays with Richard on the bed while I'm busy-busy...), I take care of our 8 other babies. They need me, and I'm there for them!
So, 3 cats are waiting for fresh water, fresh food and a clean litter box. They also want to be let out to the pool area. Then, Mausi, our "chunky" Guinea-pig needs her cage cleaned, fresh veggies and some TLC. Let me just say that Mausi's intake of fresh veggies far exceeds our combined veggies intake...what a shame. In this sense, she's so much healthier than we are!! The dogs are let out, and cuddled...They want their breakfast, and I prepare it with love. There are plants to be watered, pipi pads to be disposed of, and if time permits, I have my breakfast before relieving Richard from caring for Gabi. You need to know that he sometimes works until well into the night (people cheat a lot during the day, but they are very active at night as well), but I thank him dearly to still help me with my morning routine in case Gabi wakes up before I'm done. I have breakfast no matter what. Whether I stand, sit, whether I walk eating, it doesn't matter to me, but I need my breakfast to funtion right. It takes me just 5-10 minutes anyway.
After that, I spoke to my dear neighbor Diane, who's a graphic designer, and is helping me with my company's logo/stationary. She came over to drop of the cd with all the images for my company. I gave Gabi her morning bath, her morning bottle, she played with the dogs before they went to their beloved "University of Doglando", and we went outside for 10 minutes for our morning sun. Then, she fell asleep (on my boob!). I answered e-mails and it was well after 11 a.m. when I finally go to write in here. Uff!

Sharing my morning routine with you made me realize that soon Gabriella will be "helping" me with the pets! She will no longer take her morning nap, but will maybe play and will want to watch cartoons. She will soon run to our bed and jump on her Papi and wake him up with kisses...

Talking about healthy eating like my guinea-pig....I'm all for it. I really am. I enjoy food, no matter what. I like eating, and never turn down my husband's suggestions of "let's eat out". I love going to restaurants and love ordering desserts. I enjoy the whole sitting at a restaurant and being served - thing, and I always judge the servers. You see, I went to a very strict Hotel School, and we were trained to be meticulously picky about setting the table, serving and cleaning up. This, from the waiter's perspective. We were also trained to eat meticulously correct. Not in reference to the FOOD, but in reference to our behavior at the table. I took it very, very seriously (most of us "Glionites" did), and this is why I am making it into my business (although, the dining part is just a tiny portion of it, but one of my favorites!) - it became a passion of mine.
Anyways, the healthy eating talk...I said I was all for it. Yes, but (there's always a "but", right?), I enjoy less healthier options as well. Of course! The fast food is so popular because we learn to enjoy the fatty taste. The taste buds are trained to enjoy "fat" (we are actually born without that affection for fats). Once we are into it, it's hard to get out, huh? We have no time, we drive by a Fast Food place. For me, the challenge became to re-define my favorite place, as I don't eat red meat anymore (3 years already!). So, now I like Burger King's Veggie Burger. I like it! Why doesn't McDonald's have a veggie burger??? I like their fries better! And I like Wendy's chicken nuggets, and Stake &Shake's milkshakes.
Darn it, they should just merge...
