You know I have a baby. She is practically 6 months old. I am still breastfeeding her, and I do pump in style (my pum is called "Pump in Style"!), and store the milk in the freezer, whenever I can. This helps us all, when I want to mix some milk with her cereal, or when I want to leave a bottle behind at home in case I have to run somewhere quickly.
I pump everyday, but I am not a pumping queen. In fact, not even a pumping princess. Maybe I'm a pumping apprentice... This lady I read about in this cool magazine called "New Parent" has 500 oz. stored in her freezer!! She pumped and stored 500 oz.!!! You know what that is? This is the equivalent of 100 of Gabi's (Nuk) bottles which, when full, hold 5 oz. each. WOW! I was really, really impressed!
I would have to buy a new freezer to store all that. My freezer is not that big!
FYI..you store the milk is sterile storing bags, especially made for breastmilk, and not in baby bottles. hahaha...imagine how many baby bottles she would have to have bought!
Today I'm gonna taste the 72% Cacao Godiva Dark Chocolate with Almonds. I got it at Barnes' & Noble, the bookstore! The chocolate bar is so pretty, I don't even wanna open it! They also have an 85% Santo Domingo Dark Chocolate....but that is a bit bitter for my personal taste. I will still taste it, eventually.
Godiva has been one of my favorite "casual chic" chocolates, since I first tried it in 1996. One of our Shopping Malls in Rio de Janeiro opened a Godiva Cafe, and my Mom took me there on Friday afternoon, after my last day of school in 12th grade. 12th grade was the last "Brazilian High School" year, and I still had to go on to 13th grade, to finish the "German High School" year, at the same school. Anyway, she took me there for afternoon coffee and cake. It was wonderful and I LOVED every bit of it. Unfortunately, and I believe it was because they totally marketed it wrongly, starting with location..., the Godiva Cafe closed its doors soon after...
Godiva chocolates were also the "wedding favors" Richard and I used for our wedding in 2005. It was a big success and placed directly above each guest's table setting, made for a beautiful decor touch, adding glitz, consistency and warmth to each table.
